In June, Wonderful Machine’s website attracted 11,243 visitors, who spent an average of 2:07 minutes perusing the content and clicked on 2.7 pages during their session. We have noticed a decrease in traffic driven by organic searches. On the other hand, traffic from direct links (external websites and blogs directing readers to Wonderful Machine) was on the rise.
Our bounce rate was 64%, slightly higher than last year.
It’s important to note that bounce rates vary considerably, depending on what a given website focuses on. Informational websites usually have much higher bounce rates than sites that offer free products. For a company like Wonderful Machine, which delivers information and provides services (most of which are not free), a bounce rate in the vicinity of 50% is good. Our bounce rate of 64% has been steady over the last year, meaning one out of every two visitors found what they were looking for. Which is what we hope for.
More than half of our users arrive through organic searches (a steady climb throughout the last year). Direct traffic occurs when visitors find links to WM through other sites and has grown slightly, amounting to 25% in June.
Nearly two-thirds of our traffic (65.36%) comes from the United States. Among the remaining countries, India ranks highest (5.45%), followed by the UK (4.59%), and Canada (4.42%). These rankings are in line with our membership numbers.
